1. Agreement
By installing or using PetVoice, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. The service
PetVoice helps pet owners record moments, organize pet profiles, and track informational sound insights. Local results use duration, sound level, and context; optional AI review on Android submits one clip to Google's Gemini Developer API to suggest observable sound cues. Neither mode translates animal language, provides a validated pet-emotion diagnosis, or replaces veterinary, emergency, or professional behavioral advice.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for providing accurate information, protecting your sign-in credentials, and activity performed through your account. You must promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
4. Microphone and recordings
You control when listening begins and whether to send each recorded clip for optional cloud AI analysis. Do not record people without the permission required by local law, and avoid uploading private human speech. By choosing cloud review, you authorize Google to process the clip under its Gemini Developer API terms; free-tier submitted content may be used to improve Google's products. Recordings remain locally stored by PetVoice while recognition metadata may sync to Firebase.
5. Acceptable use
Do not reverse engineer, disrupt, abuse, scrape, resell, impersonate, upload malicious content, or use PetVoice to violate law or another person's rights. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the service or users.
6. Third-party services
PetVoice uses Google Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore, and optionally Firebase AI Logic, Gemini Developer API and Play Integrity. Your use of Google sign-in, infrastructure, and AI review may also be subject to Google's terms and privacy policy.
7. Intellectual property
PetVoice, its branding, software, and original interface content belong to PetVoice or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal purposes.
8. Disclaimer
The service is provided as available. We do not guarantee that recognition will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular purpose. If your pet may be injured, distressed, or in danger, contact a qualified veterinarian or emergency service instead of relying on PetVoice.
9. Account deletion
You may delete your account and associated cloud data from the app's Settings page or request deletion at account deletion page. Deletion is permanent, subject to limited retention required by law or security obligations.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as the service changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms. Questions: support@asamaker.com.
